I've been looking at some old time favorites of mine, 

Richard Misrach is an American photographer, known for his photographs of human intervention in landscapes and his influence in large-scale color photography. 

I enjoy the simplicity and soft colors in his images.

 I'm always monochrome vs color, so getting it right this year is important. 

My previous photographs are usually done in monochrome, but I've decided to try color this year.
